HIGHLIGHTS
NATIVE LANDSCAPES
Rough-cut native boulders provide opportunities for seating, and native and near-native plantings create a sense of place appropriate to the Colorado plains.
|
SOFTENED EDGES
Previously a disused tennis court, softened planted berms and unstructured pathways create an inviting change from the neighboring buildings.
|
OUTDOOR KITCHEN
An outdoor kitchen invites residents into the communal space, creating space for meeting new people and gathering with friends and family.
|
GATHERING AREAS
Informal seating in the form of boulder slabs was combined with formal Adirondack chairs in various configurations throughout the park to accommodate groups big and small.
|
VISUAL SCREENING
One section of the fence leftover from the park's days as a tennis court was left and vines were planted to provide screening between the park and the adjacent apartment buildings.
